Track Although our track season was not successful, Coach Seybolt did as much as could be expected with the material on hand, for there were only two letter men remaining from the 1927 team. Bernard Hayden represented section Six in the pole vault at Cornell where he gained a tie for second place. The letter men included Captain Bernard Hayden, Raymond Hayden, Ralph McCullouch, and Manager Edward Aldrich. Handicapped by lack of suitable material, the track team of 1929, neverthe- less, worked hard in order to win a place in the four meets held successively at Ogdensburg, Malone, Ogdensburg, and Canton. Bush and Merritt, who made fairly good showings in both the high jump and the pole vault, also ran the 100-yard dash, along with McCullouch and Gregory Clark.
