As I look back on these past years, it seems to me that many of us have gone through changes as obvious as those which have taken place in Baltimore since our arrival in September, l977. But, just as Gaucher was a new environment as compared to high school, once we are no longer college students, we have to face another phase in our long. full lives. Imagine being too loud in your apartment. Instead of the Goucher security threatening you, it's going to be strange neighbors with pots and pans or better yet. the local police. What about having to go farther than Van Meter when you're running late some morning? And, what about complaining about the food? We'll only have ourselves to blame. not Custom. We'll no longer possess a plastic card which permits us books in a library and candy and shampoo in a bookstore. Worst of all, most of us will never again be in an environment where we can make as many wonderful friends as we did her at Gaucher. Just think of all that we've been through with those friends since we were deposited on the steps of Heubeck, Stimson, Fisher, and Froelicher four years ago. My most vivid memories of Goucher will be those involving my friends and numerous roomates. Memories such as the time Cindy poured vodka in Pam's iron thinking it was water tshe had had too much vodkal. And of course there was second semester freshman year when the major decision was who had to stay in and watch the soaps and who could go out and soak up the sun. Some of these things will change - but not right away - if you look around many seniors will have a start on their tans and still be able to tell you what happened on General Hospital. K It seems that every one of us has spent a great deal of time learning and acquiring friendships which will last us a lifetime. I do hope that the future for each and every one of you will prove to be full of friendships and successes in all that you decide to pursue. Good luck. Take care and have fun.
