THE DEAN O important college event is complete for a Goucher student unless the reassur- ing countenance of our Dean is present. From the first encouraging talk in the Freshman year through the many conferences until the day of graduation, she stands beside us ready to help each one to achieve the highest. I-ler kind advice and cheering remarks are known to every member of the college to which she is so essential. She can converse equally well on all subjects and impart new life to the most prosaic of these. I-ler witty remarks have been known to liven up the dreariest day. At daily chapel, in her oflice, at social events, and in the classroom, each Goucher girl has her own intimate association with Dr. Stimson. 3' l20l

CONNER Student Counselor and Head of Hunner House THE STUDENT COUNSELOR o one is more suited to give counsel regarding student problems and conduct than one who is herself an example of calm as- surance and friendly guidance. In Miss Conner's office many a stu- dent has found the best solution for her social problems or comfort for her personal distress. She presides with quiet dignity and grace at important social functions. For each student she personifies the true lady at ease in all situations and is ready t.o offer her guidance and friendship to each member of the Goucher Community. f22l
