THE PRESIDENT N every college there is one in whom the stu- dent body looks for the dignity and the culture which college represents. He is a leader in academic circles and a leader of his students. A man who completely satisfies all that the position of a college President de- mands is rareg and it is for this reason that we of Goucher consider ourselves so fortunate in having Dr. David Allan Robertson as our President. One asks of a President not only dignity and learning but also cordiality and good-nature. Students cannot converse long with Dr. Robertson before being impressed by his re- gard for personality and his appreciation of humor. ' The interest of both Dr. and Mrs. Robert- son in college activities inspires greater effort in each member of the college community. Goucher students feel that the familiar gray stone house on the corner holds more than a Presidentg it holds our President. 3 l18l
