Of timid way, And little say, With Freshman work begun ; Of stubborn mind, And haughty kind When Senior work is done. A spirit she So frail that we Scarce know how we should handle, The angel seen On painted screen To her can’t hold a candle; ( She was So fair And dlbonnaire! A butterfly content; But now sedate. She's put to test From east to “ West ’’ The power of all to jolly ; Save “Skip,” she cares Not how each fares— He understands her folly. So innocent! By her were kent No----words when she came here : But she has heard, And used that word, Before her Senior year.
