Being curious as to what our class's future was, although we're not superstitious or anything of that sort, the Class of 1958 boarded a freight and was off to Madame Fifi's to gaze into the crystal ball at our future. Upon reaching her Sanctum she immediately ushered us into our future. First, we see heading toward us from the crystal ball, the nationally famous space scientist, Professor Ernest Arnold, and his wife Sue Walker. A recent newspaper article stated that the professor and his wife have ,made their home on Mars and they occasionally drop by Earth to shop or visit their friends. The good professor was the first to install all channel color television set on a spaceship. Next, we see a distinguished looking lady in black. As she comes'closer we recog- nize her as the former Miss Johnetta Fluke. The poor dear has just buried her third husband, but we understand she is in the market for a new one. Her last husband left only two oil wells and a share of the Pennsylvania Railroad to her, so she simply must hurry in her selection of another victim before she goes broke. iContinued on next page? 1, j ,-,., Y -.-.- V-75f1,,,-,,.,,!:! yu- --.,,F,rTy..--- We see a professor from Harvard. Wait! Yes, it's clear now. It's Jim Cooper and it seems he has conducted some wonderful experiments. One of his most recent experi- ments, which proved very successful, was the invention of a tooth paste which comes in a variety of ice-cream flavors. The sales reached the million mark before it was put on the market. j Now there is Shirley Ditternore. What a successful private secretary she is. She has worked her way up to the very private secretary of the honorable mayor of New York City. From the latest reports, it looks as if there might be a forever memorable event take place in their lives. Soon there will be the patter of little feet on the mansion's wall-to-wall carpeted floors. Look coming now! lt's Frank Murphy, the famous owner of three-fourths of the casinos in Las Vegas, and his racketeer friend, Jack Atkins. The F.B.l. has been trying desperately to catch them red-handed for years, but their precision planning on big deals has kept them from visiting Alcatraz permanently! Next we see, wait it's not clear yet. There it is now. We see Carl Taylor returning home in his private plane from an inspection of his cattle ranchets located in Texas, Ok- lahoma, and Arizona. He supplies prime beef for more than half a million people all over the world. This roving casanova is finally settling down with a platinum blond fan dancer from gay Paris to raise a few inheritors to his estate. Hear ye! Hear ye! Out of the social world of first ladies whirls the fashion queen herself, Lynette Montgomery. She certainly has lead an exciting life. Although never married, she has world-knownfame for herlatest original creations. We hear she is going to retire and just drift around the world in her private yacht made of transparent plastic. Next we see, or do we? Yes, it is the President of the United States, Kenneth Par- rish. His hair is slightly gray at the temples, but is it any wfonder, what with all the problems a president has. With suchatwinkle in his eyes, it is quirte obvious he is looking for a First Lady. I believe it is, yes it is Doctor Robert Wall. He has just completed his series of brain operations, and with the exception of a few unfortunate patients, they have been unusually successful. The poor doctor is having to undergo nervous treatments for him- self, but he is determined not to let his nervousness interfere with his work on the delicate brain. Next is Shirley Smith and her husband who traveled to the Far East as missionaries and were captured in China and taken as prisoners. After ten years, they were able to escape and they then decided to take a little vacation in South Africa where they were caught by the Mau Mau tribe and at the present time they are trying to civilize the entire tribe. The crystal ball strangely takes on a flashing glow, then appears in the midst of thousands of screaming fans, the present teen-age heart-throb, Jack Brown. In two years, he received ten gold records for his sensational ability. With his guitar always at his side, he manages to throw ina few television shows whenever time between movies allows him. As the crystal ball calms down and continues ahead into our future, we see Jim Steele. What a life he has led! He recently won the title of The One Most Likely Not To Succeed. He tours the country, giving lectures on the state of the nation in all lo- calities, on foot, freight cars, or any other inexpensive means. Next we see, just arriving home from a conference with the President and his Cabinet, the First Commander of the Wacs, Patti Cummings. She is, in her spare time, composing a series of articles on life in a uniform which may later be rewritten into a novel. Now, slowly but surely, the crystal ball is clouding and that group of middle age people fade away into the unknown. Climbing aboard our special freight, the Class of 1958 return once again to Gosport, some pleased, some worried and some doubtful about our predicted future. mmm emo, FUTURE HOMEMAKERS OF AMERICA Mrs. Minich, Advisor FUTURE FARMERS OF AMERICA Mr. Ezra, Advisor 1ST GRADE RHYTHM Mrs. Marks, Music Instructor Mrs. Lowe, Teacher 2ND GRADE HARMONY BAND Miss Vada Baker, Teacher Mrs. Marks, Music Instructor 50211 JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS Mrs. Marks, Instructor HIGH SCHOOL CHORUS Mrs. Marks, Instructor Xwf? 51355, .M V . .
