Text from Pages 1 - 64 of the 1965 volume:

Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound is the sweep Of easy wind and sowny flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. All of us were scared to death, but we pulled through that year and six more years to follow while we were in the elementary grades. In 1961 we entered the eighth grade--twelve in number. We were full of awe and every¬ one was looking forward to new challenges. We started changing classes and thought that we were really smart. But, we really had something to learn! Some of us received invitations to join the Beta Club, which is the highest honor in our high school. In 1962 eleven students entered high school as freshmen. We got to choose our subjects and some of us had the privilege of taking part in school activities--basketball, glee club, and volleyball. Our sophomore year started with a bang! We were all very busy trying to keep up our grades. That year we welcomed Jeannette Grow of Buena Vista to our ranks. We were glad to learn that we would not attend Millboro High School our junior and senior years. Our junior year we were ten in number. We participated with the seniors in Dear Diary and worked on the yearbook. We received our class rings. Now it is 1965, the long awaited year. We have had a good year and are still ten in num¬ ber. We are working hard on the yearbook with the help of the juniors. Linda Hazelwood, a junior, represented Goshen High School as queen in the Lexington Christmas Parade. We are all very buby trying to keep up our grades so that some of us may attend college. We are very grateful to all who have helped us and watched over us. ' May we live up to your expectations and to our dreams. I, DORIS BURKE, do will my position as a senior to Linda Burke. I, NICKIE CRAFT, do will my ability to be stubborn and make the teachers mad to Junior Robertson. I, VIRGINIA CRAFT, do will my love for blue and white 64 T-Birds to Sharon Sensabaugh. I, JEANNETTE GROW, do will my hair rinses to Donna Vass and to anyone else crazy enough to use them. I, WAYNE KIRBY, do will my curley hair to Mr. Clay. I, BILLY LYLE, do will my big mouth to John Turner. I, DOUG. LYLE, do will all the girls at Goshen High to anyone who can stand them. I, ROGER RULEY, do will my position as slave to Mr. Clay to Hunter Powell. I, HARRY VASS, do will my ability to drive teachers mad to Gary Powell. 26 Wayne Kirby-Ginger Craft Harry Vass-Doris Burke BEST DRESSED WITTIEST-MOST TALKATIVE MOST LIKELY TO SUCCEED Douglas Lyle-Doris Burke BIGGEST FLIRTS MOST IN LOVE Ginger Craft-Nickie Craft Billy Lyle-Jeanette Grow MOST ATHLETIC MOST STUDIOUS MOST POPULAR Billy Lyle-Ginger Craft MOST TALENTED Roger Ruley-Jeanette Grow MOST BASHFUL-QUIETEST KEY 1, Ginger Craft 2, John Craft 3, Wayne Kirby 4, Jeanette Grow 5, Harry Lee Vass 6, Doris Burke 7, Roger Ruley 8, Douglas Lyle BASKETBALL FIRST ROW: Larry Hinkle, Jr. Robertson, Doug Lyle, Houston Hinkle.
