Shootings 'hs v' Inflation Inflation was the most memo- rable experience 1 had in 1980- 81. Everybody had to cut back on everything, including even food and clothing. -Andy Piskor. X . The shuttle can take pictures and observe things in space and return with a safe landing. Someday I hope to ride in it and explore space. -Kathy Mast

19 0-1981 A Year To Remember The event I will remember best from 1980-81 will be the homecoming of the hos- tages. I was so happy when I heard on the radio that the plane was up and Iran could do no further harm to our people. -Paul Kahlin A NEW PRESIDENT Many things happened in 1980-81, but one of the most important was the election of President Reagan. He went into the White House will all sorts of budget cuts that he thought would be very simple to handle. But as his Presidential term progressed. he they were not so simple to handle and they may not work at all. -Charlotte Dishman ATLANTA KILLINGS When the black children in Atlanta start- ed to come up missing, there were many people upset about it. It seemed no one knows how these children were dying. Groups of men were gathered to watch and make sure children return home safely. Some were so frightened that they trusted no one, not even the people believed to be helping. -Brenda Arnold OLYMPIC BOYCOTT 'J I think that the Moscow Boycott was a main event in 1980-81. I don't think it was fair for President Carter to keep America's athletes away from the Olympics. You can't mix politics and sports. I was glad that all the athletes got a special medal from President Carter. That was the least he could do for them. -Stefanie Eldridge Photos by Crimson Staff and Associated Press. ---v WELCOME HOME HOSTAGEST
