shelman, Redskin Reign Deb Eshelman, 1979 homecoming queen, reacted to her honor with total exuberance. It was the best 18th birth- day present I could have gotten, Deb said with a smile. Deb received her crown September 21, which was also her 18th birthdate. Deb's escort was Jeff Weddle, a 1979 graduate. Seniors Tracy Anglemeyer and Amy Kotek were the other two queen candidates during the homecoming festivities. Jun- ior Wanda Miller, sophomore Elise Chevalier. and their escorts compli- mented the queen's court. The fans at the Goshen-Carrol game were full of enthusiasm. lt was Noise- Maker Night 53 , and everyone was involved, banging on their skillets and pots and pans. It was a game where no one stood still. The Redskins blitzed Carrol 21-0, producing their 4th shut- out of the season. Spirit week activities were culminat- ed at halftime of the game with the announcement that the seniors were the class competition winners. Sophomore class president Andy Stoner, and junior class president Jay Shepherd both re- ceived pies in their faces, representing their losing classes. Senior class presi- dent Steve Conder gleefully presented the sticky penalty to the other two offi- cers.
