Spirit, that was one key word at Goshen High School, and Spirit Week brought out Big Red Fever in everyone. The students participated in five special spirit days during the week. Monday was Kiddie Day, Tuesday was Bruised Carroll Day which brought the most student response. Wednesday was Hat and Sweat Day. Thursday was Dress Up Day, and Friday was Big Red Day Spirit Week revolved around the Go- shen versus Fort Wayne Carroll home- coming football game. The students' spirit building efforts worked because Goshen rolled to a 21-0 win to cap the week off. The football players were en- thusiastic about the week. Randy Sorg commented, Spirit Week was a big emotional lift because it fired us up for the game. Having all your friends doing all the crazy things they did all week and knowing they were up in the stands made us play that much harder. As for the general student body, spirit week gave many an emotional lift. As Dave Hone stated lt made going to school Y . a whole lot easier.
