When man learns that he, too, is a part of the marine ecological spectrum, and not the absolute ruler of it all, with no accounting for his action, responible to no one but himself, given to greed and practicing waste - then, and only then will he be able to live with the wonders of nature instead of destroying them. CA. Rabinowitzj With this in mind, the Biology ll classes of G.H.S., students from Laurence North. and their faithful instructors set out on March 30, 1979, for lslamorada, Florida, to become a part of the marine ecological spectrum. Throughout the week the students were re- quired to classify 50 species of animals and 20 species of plants. Also required was an in depth study of a habitat, and 10 ecological profiles. The week was not all work and no play. There was always time for a toss of the frisbee, sand- lot basketball or a rousing game of volleyball tat low tide of coursej. The week came to a close too soon. Friend- ships had started, the food was tasting good. the work was done and the fun could begin. As all experiences go, it had to end.
