K , I .T FodngumlHaqMNlnFrtlflnyulqlwhmwddulyUbpdbyPderVmDnn1BraYob0. fallplay Dedication Characterized Play Cognac, made from ice tea and tang, seven weeks of hard work, and some up-setting but resolved moments spirited Diary of Anne Frank cast members to a successful play production in the school auditorium November 12.13. The two-night production was performed in front of approxi- mately 400 spectators and grossed the Thespians Society 8350. Twenty-nine students participated in producing what many termed the best play in many years here at G.H.S. The backstage crew had their two cents worth when they reenacted the play for the benefit of the cast members at Stacy Lung's home following the Saturday night performance. Cast members also got together Friday evening at Doug Cripe's home. The play was based on the tme story ol two families, the Frank's and Van Dan's, who had to go into hiding during the Gennan occupation in Worid War Il. The play reveals how these two Jewish families coped with the situation. It was during this time, Anne Frank, then 13, kept a diary of the daily happenings of Anne Frank. Donna Kummeth, student director, and Ms. White, director, re- ceived red roses from the cast and crew at the curtain call the last night of the performance.
