fl 17 by Campus Life. Loft to right, Jaye Sloppy, Kathy and Arch Nevins. f 'ie: i Kids Frolicked in GHS Halls Can you imagine riding to school on your tractor or bringing your pet chickens or sitting in class with your raggedy dolls or wearing your gym clothes to school? These were just a few things the students did to add spirit to GHS during Spirit Week. A new wrinkle during the week gave students the first period on Monday to decorate the halls. The Best Decorated Hall went to the Senior class which also captured the Pin the Dummy contest. Senior class President Mike Troyer had the privilege of thowing the dummy into the bonfire gather- ing which was held on the school's practice baseball field. A movie, a beauty contest, and an electric chair thrilled the student body at a Campus Life convocation held Thursday. Jaye Sleppy idressed as a girly and Kathy Deal fdressed as a boyl won the beauty contest while Jim Hammond was excuted on the chair. On Friday Pep Band members led the students through the halls to the auditorium where homecoming queen candidates and their escorts were introduced. Representing the Senior class were Nancy Hertzler and Carlyle Schlabach, Anita Holden and Steve Mishler, Sue Battles and Chris Traxler, and Jane Martilla and Brad Harris. Flepresenting the Junior class were Natalie Lambright and Jeff Jackson while Terri Brandt and Terry Treece represented the Sophomore class.
