For the first time in many years, young people began to take notice that government affected their daily lives. All at once government and related courses became alive as the instructors had a chance to relate what the students were reading in their textbooks to real life situations. Indeed, Watergate and everything associated with it will go down as a historial event, possibly it will reaffirm what our Founding Fathers intended: government for the people by the people, and not government for the people by the government. one small step 17
