And I took off walking across a field which was green and brown which had cockleburrs I got one in my toe and dandelions smiling brightly at the sun beautiful but more numerous than necessary I walked cautiously but steadily Until I came to the end of the earth, And still I kept on walking. at eighteen miles a second I walked one month before l reached lVlars that planet being some forty-eight million miles from my home the month of course is only an approximate time an estimate one might say meaning that it is closer to the truth than a day or a week or a year but perhaps it is not very close itself the truth you know depends upon conditions
