We die and find what we had been searching for all along. We forget that we are being the church and the church lives. We admit our insecurities and find patient empathizing acceptance. We bring our frailty to Word groups and receive strength. GPA and course requirements are lost in the joyous discovery of an unplanned snackshop dialogue. The pulse of life explodes into childlike freedom. We drop the inhibitions of intellectual reasoning and feel the throbbing rhythm of a song. I'm gonna trust Him, sing the Ebony Voices. lb

B, LR: Achievement through discipline: under I. Ingold, the soccer team, with an overall 10-3 slate, is unbeaten in league play and captures the Mid-Central Conference title. The Leafs qualify for the Distric! 4 NAIA invitational tournament and avenge an earlier loss by defeating Spring Arbor, 3-Z, before losing in the final tilt to a good Earlham team. Y. Bwatwa, D. Hess, L. Miller, and L. Schlabach are named all-league with M. Kimmel, D. Hartzler, and E. Savanick receiving honorable men- tion. Other team members include: L. Beckler, C. Berkey, M. Birky, R. Clemens, J. Glick, S. Histand, W. Klassen, M. Lopez, I. Miller, R. Paul, V. Rice, R. Savaniclc, D. Sensenig, and W. Zehr. On Beethoven's zoorh anniversary, the A Cappella Choir directed by D. Weldy, combines with the orchestra conducted by G. Gaska to present the seldom-performed Missa Solemnis. T. McCarthy, I, Snyder, D. Weldy, D. Falk, and I. Jost are soloists.
