How many lines canl have? ls this abbreviated? Who's this, and where did the reporter find this odd number? Record meant words everywhere--open dic- tionaries, copy readers checking, typists decipher- ing scrawls and symbols. lt meant the combination of facts and ideas, and thoughts put down on paper. Particularly at the beginning of the year, when editors were strangers to their work, there were decisions to make and then decisions to change. There were Records to told, deadlines to meet, and always the next issue to think about. Behind the scenes of the Record this year were ileftj Victor Stoltzfus, editor, Marie Stoltzfus, editorial assistant, Yoon Chai Chun, photographer, itop rightj John King, sports editor, Elinor Niemela, associate editor, Howard Snider, business manager, David Bachman, layout editor, flower right! A tough game it is, but three teams--Freshmen, Sophomore and Junior-Senior--joined the intramural competition. The final round of clashing hockey sticks found the Junior-Senior team on top. FALL RAINS did not dampen the spirits of football enthusiasts, either. It was a matter of the survival of the fittest in the intramural compe- tition, with Junior l coming out on top. November 4 found the Adelphians upsetting the Auroras in their annual skirmish. Literary spirit ran high as loyal spectators cheered for their respective teams. Winding up the football season, Goshen College scored a 28-0 victory over Moody Bible Institute in spite of driving rain. Judging from increased snack shop business, football games and fall weather are synonymous with hearty appetites!
