HAROLD S. BENDER Th. D. Dean and Chairman of Division of 3 Bible and Philosophy. , Professor of Bible and I Church History CHRISTIAN CULTURE FOR CHRISTIAN SERVICE The crucial issue in our modern culture-to be pagan or to be Christian- is being largely decided by the youth of our generation: they in turn are being decisively influenced by the character of the education given by the schools they attend, both High School and College. Certainly church and society in the future will be largely what our schools make them. With this conviction Goshen College is deeply committed to a Christian education for Christian goals, for nothing short of Christian culture for Christian service will meet the need of our time. May God grant us increasing wisdom and power to make this commitment effective. Harold S.
