Not the sacrifice that renders people wretched and miser- able, but sacrifice that surmounts pain. sorrow and loss, and is motivated hy an earnest desire to build into our today the rich heritage of our past. Schools are .ume-rous, teachers are plentiful, and hooks are cheap. Any one who desires to become learned may do -o. This situatfon presents a challenge to the Christian college whose duty it is to teach people to think correctly, to choose wisely, to live nohly. and to die happy. A life that is lived for self. and a character that is moral without heing Christian, is a failure when viewed in the light of eternal values, but a life that is hidden away with Christ in God and lived in the spirit of Him who came not to be ministered unto hut to minister is the highest and hest to which man can attain, both here and hereafter. ,K , PAGE EIGHTEEN
