The Endowment Program Executive Committee U. U. ixIlI.I.IzR. Chairman C. I.. cik,-XBER, Secretary Y. li. REIFF. Treasurer A. C. Coon A. AI. S'i'EiNx.it M. A. Yonitiz Endowment Director C. l.. Gkixiutlt 1 l. t.R.-Xi?-IQR The vision oi past generations of students, tricultv, and far-seeing leaders of Goshen College is at last on the way toward realization. An endowment campaign is in full swing. ln the past Goshen College has been striving to establish herself on iiim educational. financial, and religious foundations. The past tew vezirs have been vears ot reconstruction hut now the years ot progress are upon us. and visions of a satisivine future beckon us. :Xt the annual meeting of the Board of liducation in -Iune. l l7, ll complete program for the raising ot endowment for Goshen College and Hesston College was adopted with remarkable unanimitv. The goal was set at :Q2iU,liHli in three years. of which Sliitliilii was to he for Goshen. and Slill,UUl,l for Hesston. An organization was effected and instructions as to policy were issued. The organization began to function at full strength hi the end of the year 1027. The campaign has been in progress now for over a year and a half. lt has not been an intensive. high-pressure campaign. Rather the entire program has been con- ducted in a quiet. conservative manner. in accord with the spirit of the llennonite Church. The lfndovvment Director and his immediate assistants in the field have endeavored to present the case for lfndowment in a convincing manner. and let the cause of Christian Education speak for itself. After public presentation of the cause in a community. the solicitors have conducted a house-to-house canvas. The endorse- ment and support of the local leaders in the ministry and laitv has been almost uni- formlv gratifying. One of the reasons no doubt for this support has been the fact that the various district conferences in the constituency' without exception endorsed the program and urged their members to contribute.
