He united with the XVeaver Mennonite Church near ,J I Harrisonburg when he was sixteen years of age, and remained an active member throughout 8 , . . .. his entire lite. n ll X On September 2, 1897, he was united in marriage to Mary Kate Martini of near Hagers- ,W town, Maryland. To this union were born eight children the two oldest, Salome and Harrv 1 ll v . . . - . in ' l , 4 Samuel, are deceased. He is survived by his wife, stx chtldren, Carreno Brunk Brown, Her- ' Y Ml mtonc, -lohr. lX.tlton, Neimanr Arthur, Fannie Susan Mary Elizabeth, and one sister, Anna E. l X, X 1 Brunk. ',' l l Brother Btunk spent his life as a teacher of music. After having been trained in some of ill ' f? the well established Music Conservatories of the New England States and of Chicago, he spent f three years teaching Music in VVest Central Academy, Mt. Clinton, Va., Five years in Bridge- lu' water College, a college of the Church of the Brethren, Bridgewater, Va., and in 1906 he came 4 to Gosher, College as director ot the School of Music, a place which hc fi'led until 191-I-.
