With the only approved ert edueetion department in the state, Gotham is equipped and staffed to graduate art supervisors and teeehers of art in elementary and secondary school, and it does so with striking euoeees. FEW of us have failed to take a course with Mr. Miner or Mrs. Sewtelle. Fit 100i, covers the historyr of Egyptian, Creek, Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods and stresses the relationship between art and sooiety. In iiFA 200:: students are innoduoed to the elements of design and oolor, applying beeio principles to teeehing protects. For the art major, of course, this is only a start; e hes, in all, eighteen different courses to choose from. They include Arts and Crafts, Drawing and Painting Techniques, detailed preetiee in the graphic arts and print media, and experience with ley- oot, illustration, and letter design.
