As we leek beck, we realize hew feet the time tiew by, and how we have changed. Let's leek back and see what we can retell eheut eureeives. Upon entering G. 5. T. C. :15 Freshmen in the tell of 1952, we found eurselves lest in u see ef bewilder- ment. As seen us we heel ediusted to the initial eheck, we held eur first class meeting to elect :less efficere 1::- guide us through the year. Theyr were: President, William Peeee; VicewPresident, Reneid Banks,- Secre- tary, Sandra Celine ; and Treasurer, Ann Cresby. Uur ciess was well represented an the heeketheli court this year. TermIr Wedge, Will Geuzie, Keith Fec- kerd, end Butch Eeete were out there playing while Diane Lefehwe and Gerry Hellett cheered them en. As we ieft campus in the spring, we Ieeked ferwerd to September with greet enticipetien. This time it weuld be different; we were upper eiessmen. In September et 1953, we returned with renewed energy and embitien. Dur first clues meeting turned eut e success ens we elected Rennie! Banks as president; Wiiliem Alexander es vicespresident; Ann Creeby, secretary; and Cennie Grey, treasurer. Again TDI'IY Wedge, Keith Peekerd, Butch Beete, and Ben D'Meliey appeared en the basketball :eurt. Keith and Tan? were else en the :hempienship volley- ball teem. Whe cheered the beys en te victery? Hene ether then Diene end Gerry. Many ef our members became eFFieers ef the various ergenizetiens. They were: Sully Erewn, Dick Kelley, Cherlette Wiliierns, Janice Littlefield, Marie WhUiEn, Bruce Henderson, and rnenjir mere. 23 $nier Ciadd Aster? Again spring arrives and we leave the Hill te return heme fer a nice summer vecetien. September relied around and heck we came, heeks and baggage, Full et pep, end reelci'gf te ge. Although there weren't many ef us, we were determined to let the ethers knew that we were upperciessmen. Gt :eerse we heel :3 big hand in extending the Gerhem bend of friendship to the freshmen. Hurri- cene Edne'i tried te Upset eur pregrem, but she didn't reeligir bether :1 bit. This year when electien time relied ereund we egein these Henelel Banks te lead the way. Wilfred Geuzie were put in te heip es eur VieeuPresident. Cen-r nie Grey stepped in as secretary, and Betty:Ir Leu Hedge had the pleasure of hendiing eur money. We sent Diene Letehvre 1e represent us in Student Ceuncii. it weuidn't be natural fer a few at us net te held eFFice. Dick KelleyIr wes ehesen Vice-President ef Stud- ent CDUncii, end presided ever assemblies during the First semester. Diane Richmond recerded all the pre- eeedings at the :euneil fer the year. leaders of the fraternities were: Richard Winslow; Lynn Merkee, end Bili Alexander. Diane Richmond was- elected President of Arnieitie Club. The Dermi- teryF governing hedy was headed by enether ef DUI' members. Jeckie Leieie was President ef Heuse Cern- mittee. Bruce Hendersen wes editer et en fine editien ef the Hilicrest. Under him was an able stuff that consisted of June Heiherts, Bettyr Leu Hedge, Anne Feehen, Cen- nie MesLeen, Janet Bredeen, and Patti Carmichael. The Harvest Bali held as its ce-cepteins twe very ehle ieeders, Diane Letebwe end Ralph Egers. Being an equally successful ieb en the Cemmencement Bell were June Helherts end Teny Wedge. The Gerhem F. T. A. sure made itself known this year. Ralph Egers was chosen State F. T. A. President and Diane Richmend teliewed him with pencil in hand as secretary. Ralph then went en he became Netienul Vice+FresidEnT. June! Where did it come from in such a hurry? We had always leaked ferwurd to June, but this time it's different. We won't be tegether again as u eemplete :Eess until commencement time. And then there's Stud- :ent Teaching . . . I hepe these kids wentt be ten hard on us. Weire finally seniors and have a very busy year ahead ef us. We get eFF te a guest start by electing the capable Dick Kelley as President, Warren Hebert- son as viceupresident, Cennie Grey, secretary, and treasurer, Betty Lou Dodge. Diene Leteiswe and Can- hie Mecleen represented us in Stitdent Ceuncil. Jenn Andersen was one of the ce-cupteins ef the Harvest Bell this year end was else ehesen president of Dramatic Club. Petti Carmichael headed the F. T. A. Dance. Anne Elrisslegir and Diane Richmond were our QUEEN Candidates for the Cerenetien Bail. Diane Richmond presided :tt assemblies this year. Hew nice it seemed te have a lady es the heed. Cennie MecLeen end June Huiberts were directers et the Senior Show. It turned eut te be a greet suc- izess and lets of fun. Gerry Heliet wes stiil eut there cheering the Hill teppers en to victory. Playing their last year together sin the Gerhem :eurt were Captain Teny Wedge, Butch :Beete, and Keith Feekerd, e trie that sparked the hill- teppers for four years. Our hers were still making headlines in the spurts Fittpurtment. Captain Butch Beete ied the Hillteppers throngh enether successful seesen. Giving their Eilpr F-ttlin the kind ef support he needed was Tense...f Wedge, iKeith Feckerd, and Ben D'Meliey. Rennie Banks led 'i'the husebelt department, end was supported by Butch Eeote and Keith Packard. The girls can't be counted .nut in the sperts department either. Diane Lefebvre Lind Gerry Hullett did a great ieb es :e-cepteins ef the theering squad. 29 These et us te held cemmencement parts ere: Eennie MecLeen and Keith ?uckerci with the Class History; Ann CFDEhf and Tony Wedge with the Prephecy; Bettyr Leu Dodge and Frank Herrisen with the Will; Dick Keiley, the Address to Undergraduates; Diane Le- febwe, Diane Richmenci, Ernie Guimend, end AI Junie- wicz, the Gifts; and Ruiph Egers, the ciess Marshal. New we end eur feur years at G. 5. T. C. We wili never forget the wenderful times we hmre had during eur stay. New we must face the werlci with its ex- citing, mysterious life.
