$nior Cfadd Marat? i In September at 1951; the Senior class hit Gerhem Steteis campus with mere spirit then any ether clues in years. After the first Hush ef newness had worn eff, there was the ell important business of study- ing and electing e siete ef eFiicers. We picked Franklin Roberts as president, lGlen Martin es vice-president, Reberte 1tt'ert'ill as. secretary, and Edward Bailey :15 our treasurer. We elected Mr. Whitten, whom we knew ceuid help us. through our difficulties; and give us advice toward the selutiene of our preblems, e5 eur class edvieer. Fer seciel activities we spensered a dance after the heme basketball game with Farming- ten State, and prepared the refreshments which were served in the student leurtge. Another thing we did was to held an euting ut Douglass Meuntein. This hike was a let of fun, and even the ruin ceuidnit dampen our spirits. We else deneted nterte'yr reward the fund fer a needy child in :1 foreign ceuntrgr. Befere enyene ef ue reeiized it, it-wee spring and we were rurtnirtngr ebeut madly getting in these lest minute preiecte end Ieeking ferwerd te summer iebs end elel acquaintances. After a busy summer vecetiert, we returned to G. S. T. C., and feund that we had suddenly become upperciessmen. Minus :3 few students Frem eur Freehmen Class. we weeted veryr little time in electing Hurryr Murchie eur president, end at hi5 side, ready to take ever at ertgir time, steed Glen Martin. The bank beek end pencil and peel were handled by Arlene Pulsifer end Viele Starr, with Franklin Roberts keeping us represented at Student Ceurtcil meetings. This year we Sephemeres held eur thence to teat the marksmanship eF eur fellow classmates. At the Green and White Way we invited every- one to visit eur sheeting gallery where for e few penniee they ceuid test their skill to see if they could hit the bull's eye, or even the terget.

With June 1953, iust around the corner, we suddenly realized that we had almost passed the heiiweyr mark in our ceilege education, and we were elewiy beginning te anticipate eur inst two years at Gerhnm. Can this really be us? we wandered us we returned fer our third year en the Hill. It eeerrled like only yesterday thet we entered this strange place, end tender?r we are leaders in it. Seeing eur rneny reapeneihilities before us, we settled down to the business at hand - electing eur Junier Ciess emcers. We chose David Scariett, us our president, Derreli Pearson eur vicerpresi- dent, Adele Kimball as secretary; end George McPheii eUr treeeurer. Dur leadership wee net in vain. Deneid Cremer were preeielent at the F. T. A. during the sewed semESter; Ken Jerden, Jack Eliiet and Jason Tibbets were preaidEHts at the treterni- ties; Marshall Bean wes editervin-chief of the Pinnecie and acting president of the Student Council; Viele Sterr was president at the Y. W. C. A, Earhart: Jenn Marten was preeident of the Art Club and editer ef the yeerheek; end Jeckie Breaks wee preeident ef Amicitie. In the winter, Robert Adams. teek the first place in a ski meet between Fermingten end Gerhem. With this. event we Ended our third year at Gerhnm State, and suddenly we realized that it weuld be the last time our class would be together until graduation.
