F' 9 L1IXiTfX IM E373 This year the high school and the grade school papers were combined under the name FOUNTAIN QBESS. This was the only solution to the problem which had arisen. Mr. Wathen's leaving left the high school paper without a sponsor, While Miss Stew- art's transfer to the high school created an absence of typi-- sts at the grade school. It was finally decided that Miss Bradshaw of the grade school would sponsor the new paper. The gradeischool held an election and chose a sports reporterg -a business manager, and a reporter from each grade of the grade school. The high school typists typed all the news turned in. Mr. Ramsey, the new high school teacher, took Miss Bradshaw's place as sponsor during the last semester. Although the staff has certainly missed Mr. Wathen, we have had some very co-operative sponsors since he left. 'The paper this year was self-supporting with subscriptions selling at fifteen cents per semester. The duty of the girl menters of this organiztion is to stand at the stair landings to make sure the students pass from the building in a safe Cane sanej manner. The boys are patrolmen on the buses. They assist the students in getting on and off the bus, and assist the drivers in turning around. We are happy to say that no one has suffered a serious accident since our patrol has been inaugugnEQd.
