That's 1 what happened in the Harry Preston household the night an ill-fated seance conjured up the spirits of Queen Victoria, Marie Antoinette, and Cleopatra, as well as Henry VIII and King Solomon. Carol Preston, Harry's wife, suddenly became Queen Victoria, while the rest of the royal spirits borrowed the bodies of four friends who were attending the seance. There was only one problem-the King and Queen did not wish to leave the bodies of their hosts. All the players performed equally well and showed a lot of growth during the year. They attempted to return winning basketball to Fayette. This was the best win loss record in twelve years. It was the first time Fayette had beaten Pettis-ville in 18 games; it was the first time they played for Sectionals in recent years; and, they scored the most points in a single game (116). Bottom Right: The sign tells it all! 116 Seniors JOURNEY AND THE NEW HORIZON The years were filled with many triumphs, and, as always, a few disappointments. The senior year has ended for this class and they've moved on to a new life filled with many challenges and decisions, but each senior takes with him many happy thoughts of high school life-events, personalities, and a foundation of learning for the future. Top Left: Could this possibly be any senior you know? Top Right: Brent Schaffner, David Knisley, Bill Stites, and Rodney Kessler shout Seniors are Number One at a pep assembly. Bottom Left: Denny Pack sings the school fight song. Bottom Right: Ronna Hopkins introduces the guest speaker from the Atom Energy Commission-an electrifying event. Say good-bye to all your friends; remember how they were. Ties will be broken but memories will live on. Time looked at me and said, Hey come on, get going. Tears follow sad good-byes, but love makes it worth-while. Now I'm gone and on my own; my future lies ahead. Pictures have faded, but friendships just can't die. I'm sitting here wondering where all my friends have gone I remember all the good times and the bad times we all had. But my memories are so far and dim; I guess it's been too long. I think't it's time my friends and I got together one more time. Well my friends, it's been real nice to see you all again. (But) It's getting late, and I have to go, so good-bye once again. ABOUNDED WITH KIDS, CLOWNS, AND LIFE CONCERT Home Economics classes sponsored a child care clinic and awarded the volunteers with certificates and held a graduation ceremony. Eighth graders Suzette Leady and Susan Ford and Junior Brent Snow also volunteered as clowns (some said they were natural choices), and completed the make-up and costume session to the amazement of their classmates. Life, a musical group, staged a dance contest, using three faculty members-Mr. Short, who gave the twist a whole new meaning, Mr. Knipp, who really enjoyed this field experience, and Mr. Ramsdell, who won the contest and attempted to carry-off his prize, his dance partner. Students and teachers enjoyed this assembly very much. In these pages we have tried to preserve A memory, a cherished thought; And as we look back on the year Just think of all the dreams we've sought. We've said good-bye to a few old friends But know that we'll make new; Another year will come and go-Another summer, too. The days have passed, the memories last; Remember the good times we've had; But the year is through and now we can say, ''It really wasn't so bad.
