Our Exchange Students Ritva Ahde, better known by her friends both in Fayette and Helsinki, Findland as Ippa stayed with Mr. and Mrs. James Myers this year. She was with us for our whole senior year and certainly spiced up the school with her lively Hi! lone Serenza, the curly-haired exchange student from Brazil stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wilson and family for the second semester of the 1973 school year. She was a member of the Junior class. She was friendly. She liked to play jokes. She took people's squirt guns just to squirt them. We had two other exchange students for part of the year. Helene Emricson from Sweden stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Dean Myers. She began the senior year with us, but moved to Oregan, Ohio at the end of the semester. Spanish-speaking Melida Ruiz from Colombia stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wilson. She entered Fayette in January, as a junior. After a few months she moved to Delta, Ohio. Both of these girls enriched the lives of those few students who came to know them well. 8
