It is all of truth and wisdom; friendship and joy. As about us we look, here at Gorham-Fayette High School, we see beauty everywhere outlying. Beauty of human relationship beams from the faces of those around us; those with whom we have shared joy and sorrow, and in whom we have found undying friendship. In each everyday task we find beauty in the form of mental growth and development, and we are strengthened by the thought that from these simple labors, today, will spring the fruits of tomorrow. The beauty of our many and varied endeavors stands as a monument to our humble but earnest efforts to create, for ourselves and future generations, a world of great understanding and service to mankind, a world upon which we can look back with satisfaction, knowing that to this we helped contribute. And lastly, physical strength and fair play present to us a beauty of sportmanship and harmony, which brings our lives to fulfilment and leaves us unwanting in the virtues of living. In these days the beautiful moments of our lives pass by, and to our Alma Mater we have these words: In beauty our lives are molded by thee, let not us depart from thy trodden way; O, but could we linger forever within thy sacred shrine. —David Russell 4 Beauty °f Human Relationsdi ps When old age shall this generation waste.
