They achieved honors which come to a school rarely. In the 1954 general live stock judging they placed first in District Number one competing with twenty-three other schools from North Western Ohio. Richard Martin had the high individual score. They also placed first in the state competing with two hundred eighty-seven schools. Maynard Raker had the high individual score competing with eight hundred sixty-one boys. In the National Judging Contest at Kansas City there were forty-four state teams. Our team was one of the six teams to receive a gold rating. This is as high an honor as is given in national competition. 3 Mr. Green LIBRARIAN Mrs. Caulkins LIBRARIAN Mrs. Garling OFFICE GIRL Mrs. Metcalf Mrs. Knisely CAFETERIA HELP Mrs. Metz Mrs. Acker LEFT TO RIGHT: Reverend Frye, Reverend Trumbull, Mrs. Sines, Reverend Swain, Reverend Roberts, Reverend Father Dietzer. To the Faculty we will the knowledge you gave and which we did not take. To the Juniors we will our sponsor, Mr. Harman, and the ability to get along as well as we did. To the Sophomores we will the ability to look forward as a Junior and respect the elder members of the school. To the Freshmen we will the need to absorb all they can get. We personally bequeath the following: JUDY ADAIR wills her ability to participate in athletic groups to Betty Young. EDDIE ALLEN wills his ability to get on the A Honor Roll to Bill Wheeler. FRED ARMSTRONG wills his brown, curly hair to Danny Thomas. GENE BEAVERSON wills his black Olds to Gene Metz. GLENDA BEAVERSON wills her FHA President headaches to Shirley Stone. JERRY BELDING wills his Ford hot rod to Thelma Ernst. ROGER BOR TON wills his being Captain of the Basketball team to Pinky Borton. SUE BRACKMAN wills her Editor of Paperstaff to Rosalie Shaffer. LOU COLEMAN wills her feminine charm to Beverly Mohn. JOYCE COVELASKI wills her red hair to Gordon Robey. CAROLYN DASO wills her feminine walk to June Graf. BILL FEILL wills his many girlfriends to Richard Neill. JESSIE LOU FINLEY wills her whisper voice to Terry Badger. DALE FRUCHEY wills his big Willy's to Ivan Miller. SHARRON GRIFFIN wills her cute smile to Larry Borton. DARRELL HIBBARD wills his ability to get into trouble to Mary Jane Wolfe. JACKIE LOVE wills her quietness to Bill Ritchey. DICK MARTIN wills his State Farmer's Degree to Tom Finley. SANDIE POLITE wills her bashfulness to boys to Sue Thomas. JOHN PFUND wills his curly hair to Don Ford. ELEANOR PORTMAN wills her Don't Call Me Portman to the under classmen. ROGINA POWELL wills her blond hair to Carol Merillat. JERRY RUPP wills his ability to drive to Neil Bates. ALAN SCHAFFNER wills his sporting ability to Caroline Vine. EDWIN SCHMIDT wills his ability to eat to Pat Brackman. FRED SHADBOLT wills his curly locks to Jim Borton. SHIRLEY SHORT wills her long black hair to Don Lucas. JANICE SUTTON wills her ability to polish her diamond to Marlene Wyse. CHARLES THOMAS wills his bashfulness around girls to Jack Colegrove. BARBARA WALKER wills her giggling ability in Democracy Class to Delores Kingsly. FRANK WILSON wills his height to Gary Van Valkenburg. In testimony whereof we here unto set our seal and publish and declare this to be our last will and testament in the presence of the witnesses as named below, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-Five. The Senior Class of 1955 of Fayette High School Sharron Griffin Sue Brackman 57 cuss miner The year is 1975. The town of Fayette still looks the same, even the school is standing. (It was rumored that it collapsed after the class of 1955 left. ) There is a new addition though. They now have a hospital and GLENDA BEAVERSON is superintendent of nurses and SHIRLEY SHORT is a Nurse's Aide, (she has been for twenty years) but hopes soon to become a registered nurse. Speaking of registering, JERRY RUPP is in charge of registering all dogs as they enter the dog pound. CHARLES THOMAS was elected President of the United States last year and BARBARA WALKER is in charge of the White House, (cleaning it up that is. ) JUDY ADAIR just flew to Hollywood to make a picture-- Lassie Won't Come Home --she plays Lassie's Mother, (quite a step up from her last picture King Kong.) SANDIE POLITE is in Hollywood directing the picture, but she's using such big words (learned from her college boyfriend) that they're all confused. (They're confused? ? ? ) BILL FEILL just bought the Ford Motor Company. DALE FRUCHEY financed it. He patented his Willies into a national craze. He made just oodles of money. JERRY BELDING and ROGER BORTON have been competing for Mr. America, and from here it looks like a draw. SHARRON GRIFFIN owns the Fayette Theater now and CAROLYN DASO is her chief popcorn girl. LOU COLEMAN just wrote to President Charlie asking for 26 hour days. It seems she doesn't have time for all her dates. FRED ARMSTRONG and JANICE SUTTON are very happily married (but not to each other) and have started raising their share of the next generation. JOHN PFUND just broke the worlds record in weight lifting. For his prize, he got a pair of dumbells. And that reminds me, FRED SHADBOLT owns the Morenci Manufacturing Company now and says that business is quite good. SUE BRACKMAN has the newest word in hairdo's. She has her own salon now. ELEANOR PORTMAN has just completed her latest novel, The Hereditary Factors Concerning Our Existence or So Here We Are. EDDIE ALLEN is Superintendent in the school now. (We mean Superintendent of the custodians.) FRANK WILSON has become the nations idol. All he does is stand there and people laugh. Gosh! We just about got hit. It was DARRELL HIBBARD. He's still catting around like GENE BEAVERSON. Watch out! Here they come again! Let's go into the Department Store. Well, ROGINA POWELL is working here. Oh, oh, can't chat--here comes the boss now, JESSIE LOU FINLEY. JACQUELINE LOVE and JOYCE COVELASKI are related now. They married the Overmeyer brothers. DICK MARTIN and ALAN SCHAFFNER have become the nation's leading farmers. People are begging for their expert advice. EDWIN SCHMIDT gives them plenty of competition though, as he has 100, 000, 000 acres of productive farm land. Well as we journey on we see Fayette disappearing on the horizon. It was fun to see the old gang again. 58 Judy Adair and Janice Sutton HARRY ROE SIGG HATCHERY F aye tte Ohio F a ye tte Ohio TRIANGLE RESTAURANT SHAFFER SHOE STORE Fayette Ohio F aye tte Ohio NIGHT HAWK CABINS RED WALTS’ PURE OIL Fayette Ohio F ayette Ohio CANDY KITCHEN KURLY- -E-KUE Fayette Ohio F ayette Ohio RED AND WHITE ALBERT CLARK FUNERAL SERVICE Fayette Ohio F ayette Ohio MORENCI GULF THE CORNER MARKET Morenci Michigan F ayette Ohio MORENCIHATCHERY RITCHEY’S BAKERY Morenci Michigan F ayette Ohio WESTERN AUTO FISH'S VARIETY STORE Morenci Michigan F ayette Ohio SWANEY PURE OIL NATION WIDE Morenci Michigan F ayette Ohio SHORT FURNITURE CO.
