Sacrifice of much time and effort is required on the part of these officials, for which the remuneration is insignificant. In recent years the problems of a school board have been greatly multiplied. The Class of ‘51 expresses special thanks for the services of this board. Their efforts to provide a complete and well rounded education and school life are greatly appreciated. 4

--MELVIN R. HARMAN Education is the mother of civilization. As an educational medium, nothing has approached the usefulness of our public schools. As our schools go, so goes the nation. Schools must strive to produce citizens that are self-reliant and possessed of a broad social view. They mustcreate in the young a self-disciplined character and a dynamic initiative. --RUSSELL B. LEUTHOLD To stand for something is a necessary attribute of every worthwhile member of society. But what that is for which one stands is also important.
