C iaSA prophecy My) My! My! How time does fly! Here it is the Summer of ’66 of course that's 1966! Here we are back again after all these years, attending our first alumni party in the new Fayette-High School. As we glance around we see Richard Griffin, President of the chain of Red and White Stores all over the world, arguing with Ward Joughlin, who owns his own Red and White Checker Cab Co. There seems to be quite a bit of confusion? ? ? Who is that nice looking girl in the white uniform? Oh, that's Barbara Allgire, now Dr. Noble's chief assistant. She finds her job quite promising. Why there's Phyllis Aspin, owner of her own Dancing School. She specializes in teaching short girls how to walk gracefully. Her prize pupil is Pat Thompson. We heard that Carol Beaverson is happily married. She has four boys, and has great plans for all of them--to be undertakers. Remember Lowell Beaverson, the pest of the Class? He is now painting pictures for calendars. He originated the Pretty Girl. Have you heard of that Champion Baseball Team, TheGold Sox ? Dick Borton is now owner and manager of them. They haven't lost a game for the past thirteen years. Watch out nowi There is Grace Eckert. She is now married and has two children, but she still finds time to keep her husband on his goat farm. Von Smith is now reviving the Whig Party. He is planning to run for President this fall. Jo Ann Fidler is taking over Mr. Carter's place. You know, Carter's Little Liver Pills? She makes them by the million. Mary Ellen Schaffner has her own beauty parlor. All of her hair dryers have radios built-in and dial reading; Light, medium, and well-done ! Richard Schaffner is now life-guard at Harrison Lake summer resort. He has a good outlook on the future. Lynn Knisely is teaching Women's Physical Education at the University of Michigan. He certainly seems to be enjoying his profession! Remember how reckless Harold Kunkle used to be? He now is driving hot rods at Ft. Defiance Race Track, and he's only been in the hospital ten times this past year. Joene Gardner is a broadcaster of recipes over five networks. Her latest recipe is for baked chicken liver smothered in onions. Remember Dale Pfund, big boy of the class! He is Ag. teacher at the Zone School, hoping to be as famour as Ed Green. Marlene Wannemacher and Joan Smith are both opera stars. They are making debuts at the Stair Auditorium in Morenci next week. Ruth Taylor has followed in her father's footsteps and taken over the Munson Mill. Bud Storrs is her assistant. Betty Fruchey is running for Congress. She says the government needs a woman’s touch, especially in the Treasury Department. Joan Ely is now head dietician at the Fayette Memorial Hospital. She plans all the meals for vegetarians. Our sponsor, Mr. Leuthold is here visiting with all of us. He's still teaching here and getting more bald every year. We've visited with everyone in the class and now it’s time to go home. It was wonderful seeing the whole class again and learning what they are doing. 16 Betty Fruchey Bud Storrs
