We started on our wagon trip in the fall of 1936, with thirty sitting on the hay. They were: Lyle Bailey, Charles Baker, Russell Bea-verson, Leslie Best, Helen Borton, Myron Clark, Verda Climo, Wendell Clinton, Davy Lee Crisp, Olive Davis, Marvel D’Lamater, Ned Evering-ham, James Fidler, Evelyn Ford, Mary Hess, Margaret Jean Hicks, Esther Hinesman, Junior Holly, Francis Johnson, Max Kinkaid, Lewis Lemley, Bertha Martens, George Nihart, Anna Quillet, Nelda Rose Reigsecker, Suzanne Robinson, Hubert Schilt, James Stewart, Mildred Walker, Lavonna Wallace, and Sharon Whaley. Our driver was Faye Longbrake. We had our toy band while we bumped along on our journey. The teacher, needing a rest, decided to stop at home for three months. Our second journey on the wagon, started with a new driver, Helen Weller. This time we have four new riders: John VanValken-burg, Clara Marie Cannon, Dale Boyd and Robert Scott. Eight of our classmates who fell off the wagon, were: Leslie Best, Myron Clark. Davy Lee Crisp, Olive Davis, James Fidler, Mary Hess, Francis Johnson and Suzanne Robinscn. Our third year on the hay-wagon, was a joyous one, with Vera Schaffner as our driver. We staged the operetta “Lazy Town”. Seven new pupils climbed atop: Delores Caddarette, Kenneth Paison, Arlen Schaffner, Lester Schaffner, Joan Nofziger, Rena Mae Seaman and Robert Hartman. And one fell off, Robert Scott. Miss Schaffner drove the wagon very well, so we kept her for the fourth time. We had six new wagon-riders: Dorlene Frank, Albert Huffman, Donna Martin, Nellie Thompson, Donna Borton and Lyle Towne. We had four who toppled over the side: Dale Boyd, Robert Scott, Delores Caddarette, and Albert Huffman. The operetta, “Cobbler of Fairyland,” was given this year. After three months rest we started again on our wagon trip with Doris Gamble as driver. We had three new ones join us: Ruth Brackney, Barbara Samac and Delores Vernier. We had two go over the side: Clara Cannon and Anna Quillet. This year was our last operetta, “Taffy Ann.” Our sixth trip, we got off the wagon with our driver, Mr. Stowell, and visited the Zoo, in Toledo. Three new ones went with us: Joanne Felkey, Mary Stites and Robert Stites. Four stayed behind: Mary Stites, Robert Stites, Joanne Nofziger and Rena Mae Seaman. Our seventh trip we started in Jr. High with six new pupils: Virginia Gwinn, Carl Cramer, Calvin Johnson, James Winzeler, Luella Raker and James Wiemer. Our eighth trip on our wagon took on three riders: Marion De- Witt, LaVem Bailey and Ruth Buckmaster. Three were left on the road: LaVern Bailey, Ruth Buckmaster and Delores Vernier. We got a new and bigger wagon on our ninth trip with thirteen new rider: Joan Beaverson, Howard Dennis, Richard Dull, John Funk, Mary Lou Graf, Dale Knisley, Ruth Lombardo, Millicent Randall, Bonita Roth, Marvin Roth, Merle Stemen, Lore Ellen Taylor and Lowell

KENNETH PAISON wills his English work-book to Billy Nihart and his knowledge in literature to Rosemary Murphy. ANNA QUILLET wills her freckles to Marilyn Woodard and her glasses to Arlene Lantz. BONETA ROTH wills her shortness to Betty Balser and her baton to Jean Keefer. ARLEN SCHAFFNER wills his broad shoulders to Howard Keefer and his driving ability to Paul Stambaugh. LESTER SCHAFFNER wills his basketball suit to Doyce Humphrey and his divided attention to Ann Davenport. RAY SOMMERS wills his good nature to Joan Schaffner and his coaching ability to Darrell Blaker. MERLE STEMEN wills his curly hair to Steve Schultz and his class ring to any girl who wants it. LORE TAYLOR wills her boy friends from Hudson to Eileen Stemen and her black hair to Barbara D’Lamater. LOWELL THOMAS wills his physical stature to Richard Bates and his wavey hair to Dick Whaley. SHARON WHALEY wills her cheerleading outfit to Betty Fruchey and her ability to act crazy to Eileen Johnson. GERALDINE WOLLTERS wills her cornet to Natalie Glover and her tiny feet to Doyce Humphrey. Comically said and originally done, the Senior Class publicly announces its final will. We trust that this will be remembered as the last and only will and testament of the Senior Class of ’47. CLASS HISTORY (Continued) Thomas. V7e had our first trip into Sr. High. We moved off our wagon into study hall when we were on our tenth trip, with five new pupils: Lynn Cramer, Mary Malchow, Janice Alpaugh, Wilma Alpaugh and Robert Whitis. Five left us: Janice Al-paugh, Wilma Alpaugh, Calvin Johnson, Robert Whitis and Marvin Roth. This year we were deeply sorry to lose one of our classmates because of death, Margie Shinaberry. We filled the wagon with ham, salads and other delicious fooJs on our eleventh trip, to fill the seniors at the Jr. and Sr. Banquet. We had one new one to help us: Mildred Walker. Five could not attend so they dropped out: Mildred Walker, Lynn Cramer, James Stewart, Lavonna Wallace and James Winzeler. Now we are finally on our last wagon trip, our senior year, with George Nihart as president. We have reached our longest ride in high school, although we have always to strive better and better on our trips in life. This year we gained three: Roberta Corkle, Ray Sommers, and Homier Randall, and lost one: Homier Randall.
