THE TRIBUTE TU MR. CRAJTE G. H Crane retired, as Board Member and President of the Gorham-Fayette Board of Education, on January 1st, 1936 Henry, as he is known to his host of friends, has served the people of Fayette and vicinity, as Member of the Board of Education, continuously since January 1st, 1914. He was elected President of the Board on January 1st, 1916, serving in that capacity until January 1st, 1922, when L. L. yeagley was elected President. Mr. Yeagley served as President until his death, which occurred in August 1922. Dr. R W. Reynolds was then elected to fill the vacancy and served until January 1st, 1924, when he retired from the Board. Mr. Crane was elected President on January 1st, 1924, and has served since that time to January 1st, 1936. Twenty-two years as a Board Member, and eighteen years as President of that Board, is a record of which we are all proud, and it was with genuine regret that we had to bid Henry goodbye as a Board member. We, who have served with him through the years, have always found him serving the School and Community with the same interest and careful planning as he conducted his own personal affairs He was a faithful Public Official, and he will be missed
