Everyone seeks to know and to perfect himself through knowledge. A Gordonite is given this op- portunity every moment he is at school. He is there to be formed into a man, whom society needs. Only a man of sound moral principles can solve and survive the problems and anxieties he meets in daily life. Only a man who is well-educated can be equipped among his peers. A man knows what he must do for his country, his Church, and his society around him. A man does not fear physical exertiong in fact, he will do his share to fulfill his duties in life. Only a man can appreciate the beautiful things he sees in his daily round of duties. When a student graduates from Gordon Tech, the world facing him will receive a well-formed citizen. Society will have added to its ranks a dynamic soul, an individual upon whom it may depend-a successful citizen.

There is beauty in everything. We, as students, should be conscious of the aesthetic in the world and should be able to recognize and express beauty found in ourselves as well as in others. This beauty reaches us through our five senses. We must learn to attune our whole being to recognize this in everyone we contact as well as in everything we do. After we have learned what this beauty is, we must try to be creative enough to show beauty through our talents in art, music, writing or speaking. When we give happiness to the people around us by letting them appreciate the beauty which we produce, then we are aesthetically conscious of the wonders life has to offer.
