He was selected on the basis of his S.A.T. score. Mrs. Isabelle Jones was Grif's choice for STAR Teacher, feeling that she had done most for him in achieving his high school goals. The Student Teacher Achievement Recognition is sponsored by the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. All STAR Students and Teachers from the '7th District were honored with a banquet held at Shorter College on March 17 .

A Ithletes Honored A I A ll Sports Banquet The All Sports Banquet, which is spon- sored annually by the First Baptist Church. was held May 8, 1975. The pur- pose of the banquet was to honor all those participating in boys' and girls' basket- ball. tennis, track. and baseball. The guest speaker for the evening was John Robert Bell. Mr. Bell was head coach and Athletic Director at East Ten- nessee State University and is presently in full-time work with P.C.A. Award winners were as follows: MVP Basketball and MV - Defense Basketball - Mona Autry: Most Rebounds - Lisa Jordan: Most points - Laura Crowder: Best Foul Shot Percentage - Nancy Baker. MVP Basketball - Mike Ray: Most Hus- tle - David Henry: Most Rebounds - Bob Jones: Most Points - Bob Jones: and Best Foul Shot Percentage - Tom Glenn. Craig Vaughn was selected MVP in Baseball.
