GRAYDON HITS THE SLOPES IN JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING Jackson Hole Ski Trip A long-standing Graydon tradition was successfully re- vived this March break when a group of students ac- companied Ms. Newton and students from J. A. Turner S.S. to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for six days of outstanding skiing in the Rockies. With more than 100 runs covering 2400 acres, a vertical drop of over 4,000 feet and many expert runs, Jackson was a challenge for everyone. Morning came early in Jackson with a wake-up caU at 7:00 A.M. The bus arrived at 8:00 A.M. and by 8:30 we were at Casper Bowl Halfway House for breakfast. Lots of sunshine and no lift lines kept us skiing all day. Busch Beer Company held its College Ski Week program at Jackson our week and most students entered the mountain rally, shorter races and eventually graduated themselves to ski for U. of T. in the College Cup Race, turning in excellent times against teams from major universities across the United States. Apres ski usually started with a stint in the hot tub or a shopping trip for stetsons, cowboy boots or bargains at the Polo store in town. Despite many death-defying feats, there were only two minor injuries and both students were back on the slopes the next day. The famous Rocky Mountain High kept us all going, and rest time was set aside for the first week back in Mississauga. If you missed this year ' s trip, plan now to go West next March. t Scott Swan Joe Basic Peter Marzinotto Miss Newton Mike Giacomodonato Tom Viiksanovich J
