Freshman Basketball Gordon Bell fans, this year, took notice of their Freshman team. Although they did not make the playoffs, they put a great effort as a team into their games. Mr. Asper is to be congratulated on the performance of his team. Top scorer was Ed Weedon. BACK ROW—Rick Gilchuk, Dave Synott. FRONT ROW—Ilan Goldberg, Gilbert Rey, Les Forbes. MISSING—Mr. Asper, Ed Weedon, Mike Mitchell. Junior High Junior The Juniors after finishing third in their division were knocked out in the semi-finals. Thanks to coaches Charles Shiaro and Mr. Gaston for a good job. Junior High Senior Mr. Wilkes’ team did quite well this year but just could not get by River Heights in the division final. Most of their games were won by wide margins and Mr. Wilkes is to be congratulated on a job well done. 62

BACK ROW—Louise Bin- nie, Joyce Goodhand — Managers, Nancy Delaney, Pat Carmen, Cathy Savage, Miss Leveille — Coach. MISSING — Holly Reader. Congratulations go to the Freshman team. This year they dominated the league, winning the city championship 2 games to 0 over Tec. Voc. The girls won approximately 30 games without a defeat all year. Thanks to Miss Leveille for her coaching and to Louise and Joyce for their managing. The top scorer was Angie Johnson. Good Luck to them all. Grade 9 The team did not have a very successful year, win¬ ning very few games. They would like to thank Mr. Gaston and John Holland for their assistance and coaching.
