Second Grade The second grade enrollment has remained at thirty-nine most of the year. Forty has been the largest group we have had in the room. We have been busy and happy. we have done much supplementary reading. In the language arts we have written small poems and compositions and have done some dramatization. We have studied Indians and Eskimos and found their lives to be somewhat diff- erent from ours. we illustrated this in built-up posters and in painting. uuring the year every child has painted at the easel. we earned a new book for our library by contributing generously to the Jun- ior Red Cross. We also gave freely to the March of Dimes. We made hospital trays for our Junior Red Cross project. we had four room parties and celebrated several birthdays. we thank all mo- thers who helped. We especially enjoyed the spring fielc trips. We had a fine year.
