Under a forecast of no higher than seventh place the Goodrich Martians played an expert season, under the direction of Coach Wickens, and stepped into fourth place this year in the Class C league. They came out winning four, losing two and tiein one Th g . ey also played Ortonville, a non-league game, which they won by a large margin. The season started this year with the loss of eighteen lettermen for various reasons. Ronald Holdorf, the ace tackle who drowned last summer, was among these.
