HOW 3: Walter Davenport, Joe Voyvodic, Phil Smeltzer, James Stimson, Alex Bartsoff, wayne Grover. FHESHMAN STO FY The freshman class started this school year with bl pupils in the class. Of these, there were 17 newcomers To Goodrich School In December, two members left the class but we gained one in January, leaving us with a total of MO. Our class sponsor this year was Mr. Mclienrjy, who has been a great help to us in our initial year in high school. Hiring the school year our class has held two parties, one was a dance at the home of Mary Kristek. The other was a roller skating party at the Davison Roller Rink. The freshman class is very proud of its boys' basketball team, wh o this year won the high school intramural champion- ship by defeating the junior and sophomore class teams. We have enjoyed our first year as high school students very much and we hope to all 'ce back together next fall.

The first was a trip to the machine shop owned and opera- ted by Mr. Whyte of Crtonville, where the group was able to observe the practical use of some twenty different types of machines used in the average small business. In the early spring, thirty-one of the thirty-eight in this room went by bus to the Buick Motor Co. plant in Flint and took thetwo hour conducted trip through this very large Umachine shop.' In May the entire class motored day at the capitol building, meeting of the state officers, seeing both Representatives in session and being to Lansing and spent a and visiting with many the Senate and House of formally introduced to the legislature by Senator Lane and Representative'3Dlispie, elected officers from this district.
