Every crowd, every group of people, whatever tlze reason for existing, is composed of individuals. When you have broken all down to the last facton you reach thehu- man element. Strip away all tlze facades ofgroup-identification and underneath you will find individuals. Each one is different, each one possesses worth, each one lzas a soul We each have our own desires, our own aims- -hopes--goals--our own needs. This is the purpose of Goodrich High School--the reason for its existence--to serve us, not as a group, a mass, but as individuals. Always striving to meet the needs of as many of us as possible--always striving to develop distinct individuality. Yet often we betray ourselves and tlze purposes of our institutions by allowing ourselves to be molded into patterns--we lose ourselves in the crowd--we try to cover up and destroy our individuality.
