STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS: Ann Martin - Secretary: Dianne l-lull - Vice Presidents Tom Raab - Treasurer: Jim Zwiegler - President. Student Council Sponsors All-School ctivities The Student Council is the most important club in the school, for it is the student government. Through this club, every student in the entire school has an opportunity to express his opinions. Student Council is an outlet for present feelings about school policy in that it talks matters over and tries to amend or correct present policies. Over all, the Student Council is of service to every student enrolled in high school. This year the Student Council has continued being of service to the stu- dent body through its many projects. lt began the year with sophomore ori- entation, Homecoming and held class elections. It again helped in the Save the Children Federation drive. The Student Council sponsored many events during the winter, such as, a Christmas decorating contest, a Christmas As- sembly, and Winter Fomial. With the coming of spring, the Domestic Ex- change Program was enlarged and in conjunction with this, Workday was in- itiated into the program to fmance this activity. The Council also felt that it sponsored the best Variety Show ever. The Student Council has had a busy year, but hope to make next year even better. tAbove lefty Students decorate their rollroom for the Christmas decorating contests. fBelowj Elections proved to be of major importance for Student Council members. 140
