Class Prophecy After many years of hard work I finally received my vacation with pay. The newspapers carried many stories about a growing city called Falcon City. It seemed the perfect spot for a vacation. So I boarded a plane at Goodman High School field. To my surprise the stewardess was Barbara Wolosyn. Then the pilot, Russell Hawley, came out to greet us before the take off. We had a few minutes before take off so we talked about old times until the plane mechanic, Paul Jankowski, okayed the plane for flight. At 8:00 a. m. we were in the air. While enjoying the sights, I was interrupted by two familiar laughs. I turned around and there sat John Wozniak and Lyman Jensen telling iokes. I enjoyed them because they weren't the same ones they told in school. After landing at the airport, a private car met me. I opened the door and there sat Darryl Huennekens behind the wheel. He looked much taller sitting on pillows. I told him to take me to 59th Street. Since he had nothing to do he asked if he could show me around. I readily agreed. We first stopped at a huge building bearing the sign, Tonite We Launch, Where Shall We Anchor. This building employed people interested in flying or mechanics. Two men came toward us to show us around. They were Jim Dallmann and Joe Renkas. They Told me all about their successful partnership and introduced me to their head mechanic, Terry Buck . We then went to the Falcon Public School. There in the principal's office sat Gloria Lukaszek. She told me all about her iob and offered to show me around the school. First we entered the English room where Alice Duda was trying to pound some English into her noisy students. We then continued through the school and found Lois Cox subsitituting for the kindergarten teacher. It seemed that her six children kept on calling her mommy, which made it confusing. We then went to the T 8. A Cafe for lunch. There we were waited on by Theresa Lockwood. The food and service were excellent. I had to make an important phone call and who was the operator but Agnes Sagan. We then paid a visit to the mayor's home, and opening the door was the butler John Maruszczek, who told us that the mayor would receive us in a few minutes. The maid, Shirley Gallordo, took our wraps. The mayor then entered the room and to my surprise there stood John Pasternak. Entering behind him was his own private secretary, Lynnette Giere, bring- ing him his afternoon mail. Suddenly there came a cry from the other room and out came a little girl followed by Sophie Lubinski who was trying to calm down the crying child who had cut her hand. They then rushed her to the hospital and the nurse, Janice Kuchinski took care of her. We all planned to get together again that night so we all met at Lil' Bernie's Night Club. We were all talking about good times together when Chuck Kalkofen asked us if we would like to order now. He said the music would start right away. Then out on the stage came Frances Frydrych who gave a cue to the bandleader, Bernie Gilewski, who had his band play, SmiIe the While. I'lI never forget that day. It shall always remain in my heart and in the hearts of the classmates who shared these good times with me. Elsie Schioth
