Class History We merged as a class many Septembers ago. Our first two weeks were probably our most dreadful and frightening two weeks of our whole high school endurance. One of our biggest activities that year was our float in the Home- coming Parade. It was time well spent, though, because we won first prize. As Freshmen, we participated in the annual Christmas Tea. Robert Ziolkowski, the Andrew Johnson of the Freshman Class, was almost impeached. That spring we sponsored a Senior Farewell Dance. Our Sophomore year, we elected Bill Majewski as our President. That year, we launched a very successful Sadie Hawkins Dance. We participated in the Christmas Tea that year with a good skit. Robert Ziolkowski was our speaker at the Banquet and Frances Wywialowski received the Good Citizenship Award. For our Junior year, we elected Raymond Stefanski as President. We had the President and Vice-President of the Student Council from our class, Robert Ziolkowski and Frances Wywialowski, respectively. That year, we were also very proud of our float in the Homecoming Parade because we took first prize again. Being Student Council President, Robert Ziolkowski presided as Master of Ceromonies at the Christmas Tea and Banquet. We started the Freshmen off to their first wonderful year of high school by giving them a good initiation. Mr. Whitcombe took us to Iron Mountain to watch a newspaper be made in hopes that we could gain a little knowledge in putting out our own. Our class did put out a very good newspaper and it was enjoyed by all who read it. Bill Barribeau received the Good Citizenship Award that year. Bill Majewski was our speaker at the Banquet. The reason we didn't have a Junior Prom is because the majority of the class felt it would be an unprofitable venture. We had a public dance instead. Raymond Stefanski represented Goodman High School at the 1957 session of Badger Boys' State and Frances Wywialowski represented us at Badger Girls' State. As our Senior Class President, we re-elected Raymond Stefanski. He was also elected Student Council President and acted as Master of Ceromonies at the Christmas Tea and Banquet. Doris Moddie was crowned Queen of the Homecoming by our Co-captain, Bill Majewski. Kenneth Graetz was the other Co-captain of our football team. Frances Wywialowski and Robert Ziolkowski were the co- editors of our yearbook, The Echo. We had Father Goes Domestic as our Senior Class Play. Out for football in their last year of high school were Ted Wolosyn, Robert Schauman, Fred Chitko, Robert Ziolkowski and Everette Engles. Bill Barribeau was manager for football and basketball for four years. Robert Schauman, Kenneth Graetz and Bill Majewski were the only Seniors out for basket- ball. Raymond Stefanski, Bill Majewski, Bonita Smitham, Annette Barribeau, Bill Barribeau, Jerome Rafats, and Anton Piantek represented the Seniors on the Student Council. On May 25, 1958, Baccalaureate took place for the Seniors of 1958. It was followed by Graduation on May 29, 1958, when Goodman High School said good-by to another group of fine students.
