Well at last I'm through with those dignified Sen- iors. Ah! Now I've got it easy! Here comes a member of the faculty. Good lookin' too. Thinks I care for her combing her hair! Well let her comb it, she's not tied! Just one hairpin-As if one hair pin could conquer a nation! Nice little girl to lend her one-One of those Sen- ior girls too. Well-and I thought she'd know how to pose! I've reached my conclusion- The older they get the less they know. -Velma E. Ah! Good morning Folks! Well the old buss was on time for once. Isn't that exciting? I should think you would celebrate the occasion! Yep, you're right brother! She's just exactly 9:30. Goin' to take some pictures aroun' hyar? Yes I'm going to make a likeness of the pupils and the faculty down at the High School. Well you'll find some 'stuck-up uns down thar! About an hour later I had my camera set up and everything ready. I was told to begin with the Seniors. Good! I knew those folks knew how to behave because they have had more experience in this sort of business than the rest of them. Well here comes a Senior boy. Ah! He did very nicely-would- 'nt have any lip stick on or anything-acted Very dignified too.-Guess he has been practicing, that he may live up to the reputation of his class. Another boy. Must be all boys. Oh My! Allowing a girl to put rouge on him! He should be thrown out of the sex !-Oh well, did better than I thought he would at first. A pair of lads. Great Scott! Why don't they bring on some female species? Oh dear! Here one of those showy ones! Putting mabeline on his eye brows! Oh! Oh! Ah! Here we come!! A girl-a very modest little girl too. Doesn't have her hair bobbed. Won't even put any lip stick on. Oh Well- Some girls do, and some girls don't, Some girls will and some girls won't. Another girl--just a little more primpy though. She wants lip stick on her rose buds. Oh my what a smile she's forcing! She must think I mean grin when I say smile. Ah! Here they Come and trip it as you go, On the light fantastic toe And in thy right hand, Lead with thee-A couple of 'bobbed headed' ones. Oh well they won't have to put any on becausethey already have enough make up on to appear on a stage. Ye Gods! They're put- ting on some more! Oh me! Oh my! And I thought the Seniors knew llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIIllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIIIIlllllllllllllllllIllllIIIIIIIIllllllllllllllllllIIIIllllIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIlllllllIlllllllIIIIIIllllIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!IIIIIIII!!IllIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIlllllllllllllllllll

B. T. H. S. had once more resumed its routine of duties and every student was to be with a smile on his face and ready to ex- tend both hands and push his upmost to put the shool before the com- munity and then later, before all of Southern Illinois. So it was before such a happy group of students, especially the Seniors, that Mr. McLaughlin revealed one of his many plans of adver- tising our school to the community. He suggested that the Seniors erect a lunch stand at the Sesser Fair which was to be held at the High School and thus help finance their annual. This was certainly a splen- did suggestion but Audra, the enthusiastic Senior president, announced that the class had already secured the right to erect the stand and were making plans for the project. So with the untiring support of Mr. McLaughlin, the class soon had the plans under way and were too glad to take advantage of every opportunity of helping finance their annual. Now, isn't that the kind of a class to have-one that is up and going and ready to support the school in every Way possile? Every undertaking is a success with such a jolly group of school children as that behind it acting as a main spring. They, with the un- relinguishing support of the entire school, advertised the Sesser Fair far and wide and everyone soon began talking about it. It seemed to be uppermost in everyone's mind as a good chance to put our school before the eyes of the public. Posters were seen everywhere and the school children were talking about the wonderful Fair to be held in the old home town but behind all this was the motive of making the Senior stand a success. Thus the few lapsing days passed until the 5th of October dawned- a big, bright sun in the east with a cloudless sky ahead and the exalting children expressing their joy at seeing the day dawn bright and clear. This day and the next were to be spent at the Fair and everyone began bringing his exhibits of live stock, poultry, and etc. Before the morn- ing was half gone, large crowds were gathering on the campus with reports that more were coming. Right this way for your late breakfast and early dinners, in fact for anything you want, rang shrilly through hte cool, refreshing, morning atmosphere. Everyone turned to see who it could be and found not only one, but a half dozen others vociferating the same thing. llllllIlllllIIllIIIlIllIIIIIIIIlIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIIIllIIIIIIIIIllIllIIllIIIIIIlIIIIIIIIllIIllIIIIIlllllIIIIIIIIIIIlIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIlIIIIIIIIIlIIIlIIIIIllIIIIIllIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIllllllllllllllllllllllllllllIllllllllllllillll
