Fun T he social season opened with a Sodality tea dance on October twentieth. Later in the month we joined the throngs lining each side of the Hudson River to pay tribute to the victorious fleet at the river pageant presented by the City of New York as an expression of thanks to the Navy. Wlxile the sophomores attended the Military Ball, we tended shop at the annual bazaar in November. Judging from the inventory of the table afterwards we realized that our efforts were crowned with success. Later Dorothy Stanton put us among the ini- mortals when her poem, Day's Endfwas selected for inclusion in the Annual Anthology of College Poetry. December was strictly a junior month. It opened with our prom and closed with the College ring ceremony. The prom was held in Preston Hall which was artistically dec- orated with pine branchcs. Poinsettias, and a sprig of mistletoe hanging from the center of the dining rooln. On December nineteenth our beloved President, Reverend Mother Mary Aloysia. presented us with our rings at the traditional ceremony an d reminded us and froliv at Christnms Iime The juniors turn editors
