While its trunk was straight. its hranehes were small and soli- tary. So we. too. were awkward and lonely and remained thus through those initial hours until the time of our introduetion to the Sisters. to other lllCllllJCl'S of our elass. and finally. to the upperelassmen who re- turned two days after our arrival at college. Before long. however. we were able to find our way around.
