I As graduation draws near, the Senior Class recalls many of the outstanding events and activities of our last year at G.U.H.S. Our Senior Play, We Shook the Family Tree, under the direction of Mr. Hubert Pierce, and a talent show, under our own direction, gave us a chance to display our varied talents. These two pro- ductions also gathered in money to help pay for our annual trip to San Francisco and our ditch day. On our trip we visited the Egyptian Museum in San jose, Golden Gate Park, and the Planetarium, Fisherman's Wharf, and Chinatown, all in San Francisco. We spent our ditch day swimming and bathing in the sun at Santa Cruz. Several dances were sponsored by our class, one of which everyone will remember -Q The Bunny Hop. It was well attended and everybody enjoyed themselves. The twirp season, sponsored by our class, was one of the most successful in the past few years. It was well planned and had many new features such as slaves, Lil' Abners, and prizes. May 14 we were the honored guests at the annual junior-Senior Banquet at the Mark Thomas in Monterey.
