The following Following Friday night Rogers was clawed by the mighty Blue Machine. The North Central game G-Prep showed shades of overconfidence and preserved a 24-21 win. In the final game Tim Lappano set the single season rushing record and also scored three touchdowns as Prep rolled past the Highlanders l38 to 13l. Tim Lappano became the all-time scoring and rushing record holder for a single season with 120 points and 1,299 yards rushing. Aiding with the city champoinship this year, Gonzaga Prep placed eight outstanding players on the 1974 All-City team.
