DEDICATICD It was no surprise when Fr. Kunz was chosen as the first Rector of Gonzaga Preparatory School after its separation from the University. Suffering, rightfully accepted, tends to temper the personality and forge the character into a man who is patient and just. Having been tried in the crucible of suffering, he constantly used his head to handle himself and used his head and his heart to handle his subjects. Character is a victory, not a gift. Through the years Fr. Kunz built character in himself by daily weaving the little threads of habit, each a tiny thing in itself, but all contributing to produce a tapestry displaying a model Priest of God. Fr. Kunz worked like a man,not a machine. He worked thoughtfully and gratefully, he worked when racked with pain, and no matter how great the pain or how severe the attack, he merely pushed himself the harder, yet never allowed a word of complaint to pass his lips. He not only said a prayer- he lived one. To him this LUIGIAN is gratefully dedicated.
